Tasting a Muir’s Cornish pasty for the first time had me wanting to yell Eureka and race down the street in joy. One of the tastes I’ve missed so much, not just found but perfected. These meal sized savory packets of beef, potato and swede wrapped in your choice puff or short crust aren’t just good for Singapore. They’d hold their own from Falmouth to Falkirk. They are that good. And on the subject of mouths, mine has rarely been happier. long quest for that warm and comforting taste of home

For a recent Scotland football match I served a surprise halftime treat for the supporters in my living room. I have been thinking of the most appropriate superlative to use to describe Allan’s pies and Haggis Scotch eggs, but I think that someone else’s words says it all…. “This is the BEST meal that I have had in years!” My husband’s weekend fried egg, Lorne sausage, black pudding and haggis breakfast have also made him a very, very, very happy man!

I'm sure many reading this will be expatriates and I can assure you that if you buy any produce from Muir's Deli, you will have more than a taste from home, you'll feel you returned there. The absolute best white pudding I have ever tasted, black pudding that is up there with the best that the Isle of Skye has to offer.

Hello! Just wanted to say the scotch pies went down a treat. Great amount of filling, lovely flavour, and the pastry hard but thin enough to cut. Yum. Will need to order them again.
