Sliced Black Pudding

Made to our own recipe on our own premises, this is black pudding perfection. Slice it, fry it, grill it or heat it in the oven. And it doesn’t just have to be for breakfast – it’s a versatile ingredient for other mealtimes too. Serves: For a main meal portion, we recommend approx 200g per person. If using as an extra to the meal, go with around approx 100g per person. Storage: Supplied chilled. Store at < 5°C. Suitable for freezing. Freeze on the day of purchase and use within 3 months. You may want to slice your black pudding and freeze it in slice batches in separate freezer bags, so you can defrost just what you need each time.

Our White Pudding is a Scottish delicacy of suet, onion and oatmeal, seasoned to perfection. This is a fantastic complement to a chicken dinner or with mince and tatties.

Muir’s Sliced Haggis

Our lengths of Haggis are made from our family butchers recipe. Just take it out of the plastic wrapping and reheat it in the oven, microwave or shallow-fry. Cue lots of happy Haggis eaters.

Black Pudding Scotch Eggs

Scotch eggs, a traditional British dish consisting of a shelled semi-hard-boiled egg that is wrapped in our Black pudding, covered in breadcrumbs, and then deep-fried or baked until crispy. Cooked Scotch Eggs will keep in the fridge for 3-4 days. If you are preparing Scotch Eggs in advance, and want to store them until you're ready to cook, you can store Uncooked Scotch Eggs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can freeze Scotch eggs for around 3 months. Frozen Scotch eggs will be perfectly safe to eat. But that doesn’t mean you should freeze them as there can be some major textural issues when freezing them so think twice before doing so.
